Anastasia has a broad commercial litigation and administrative law practice.

Anastasia’s practice has an emphasis on corporate regulatory proceedings, professional negligence, contractual disputes, resources and insolvency. She has appeared for company directors and officers in a range of trials in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the Federal Court of Australia, including civil penalty proceedings.

Anastasia was junior counsel assisting the Queensland Health Payroll Commission of Inquiry. She represented parties in the Barrett Adolescent Centre Commission of Inquiry, the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry and the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety. She represented the Commonwealth of Australia in the Royal Commission into the Robodebt Scheme.

Anastasia has appeared as counsel in Queensland’s Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, District Court, the Federal Court of Australia, the Full Federal Court and a range of tribunals.

Prior to being called to the Bar, Anastasia was a Senior Associate at Corrs Chambers Westgarth in Litigation & Dispute Resolution and an Associate at Baker & McKenzie (Sydney). Anastasia held in-house litigation roles at broadcasters in Australia and the United Kingdom, working at Channel 4 Television Corporation in London for four years. She was Associate to the Hon. Justice Chesterman AO RFD KC in the Supreme Court of Queensland.

She is a member of Maxwell 42 International Arbitration Chambers in Singapore.

Anastasia is listed in Doyle’s Guide of leading Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution junior counsel in Queensland, and as recommended Insolvency junior counsel in Queensland.

Anastasia has a particular interest in media law and defamation and is a member of the Bar Association of Queensland’s Professional Standards Committee.
